Abed Khan, a renowned journalist and editor of the Daily Shomokal in Dhaka, in a reaction to the death sentence of the seven Islamic terrorists in Bangladesh said that more important than the sentencing of the terrorists is to try and bring those people to justice who were behind these militants.
In an exclusive interview with VOA Bangla Service, Abed accuses the government and other people close to the ruling alliance for assisting the militants in the past. He says that basically the religion needs to be separated from politics if democracy needs to have a meaningful role in Bangladesh .
