Foreign Minister M Morshed Khan on Wednesday said Bangladesh's commitment to fight against international terrorism is unequivocal and the country will continue to work with global community to address the root causes of terrorism.
In the multilateral context, Bangladesh has become party to 12 counter terrorism conventions and protocols and is making serious efforts to comply with the UN Security Council Resolutions, he added.
Morshed Khan was speaking at a daylong seminar on "Global war on terror: Bangladesh perspective" organized by the Bangladesh Institute of International and Strategic Studies (BIISS) in its auditorium.
Morshed Khan said Bangladesh will not allow any extremist group to use the religious sentiment to foment hatred or divisiveness in the society. It will not also allow any group to undermine the moderate and tolerant fabric of the society that shapes the world perception about the country, he added.
