People in many places, including Dhaka, continued their agitation demanding smooth power supply and generation registered a slight increase on Friday.
The Power Development Board reported that three units, including two that tripped Thursday night, came into operation in the morning.
The power board officials said the 140MW West-Mount plant and the 100MW Bagabhari plant, which tripped Thursday night, came into operation Friday morning while the 210MW six-unit Ghorashal power plant, which tripped few days ago, also came into operation on the day.
Reports reaching from different places said people continued protests at and attacks on power offices and stations on Friday across the country.
