Bangladesh's Foreign Minister M. Morshed Khan has expressed ‘deep concern’ over the nuclear weapon test carried out by the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea and called for resumption of the six-nation talks to reduce tension in the Korean peninsula.
‘Bangladesh is deeply concerned by the action and expresses hope that the six-party talks would resume immediately towards reducing tension in the Korean peninsula,’ a statement issued by the foreign ministry said on Monday.
North Korea said that it had performed its first nuclear weapon test, an underground explosion defying international warnings. The nuclear test prompted condemnation from nations across the world.
