Officials in Bangladesh say at least 15 people were killed on Monday when a ferry packed with people sank after colliding with another boat on a river near Dhaka.
Authorities say at least 15 people are missing, and the rest swam to safety.
The ferry was carrying at least 70 people on their way home for a Muslim festival, Eid al-Fitr. The vessel sank in the Meghna River southeast of the capital.
Ferry accidents, often blamed on lax rules and unsafe navigation, are common in Bangladesh.
