U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs John Gastright in an exclusive interview with Voice of America said that the latest measures taken by the Caretaker government to resolve the current political crisis in Bangladesh are very positive.
He said the political parties and the Caretaker government are doing the right thing. He said that he saw the situation improve within 24 hours. Mr. Gastright said US does not support military intervention in politics.
Mr. Gastright is in Bangladesh on a two-day visit.
