Former U.S. President Gerald Ford died Tuesday in Desert Palms, California, at age 93. He was the 38th president of the United States.
On Tuesday -- a national day of mourning -- the body will be taken to the Washington National Cathedral for a memorial service. Mr. Ford will be laid to rest Wednesday in his hometown of Grand Rapids in the northern state of Michigan.
Dr. Sunil Das came from Bangladesh and settled in Michigan almost three decades ago. He is a pediatrician and the past President of the Michigan chapter of Bangladesh Medical Association of North America.
