Dr Zillur Rahman Khan , the Rosebush Professor Emeritus of Wisconsin University thinks that so far the caretaker government in Bangladesh has taken very thoughtful measures in reconstituting the Election Commission in order to go for free, fair and acceptable elections in Bangladesh.
In an exclusive interview with Voice of America’s Bangla Service Professor Khan said that a second thought could be given to the question of making an ID card taking into considerations the time it might take and the money it might involve.
He thinks that the most important thing would be to make necessary corrections in the voter’s list.
Dr Khan welcomed the decision of separating judiciary from the executive branch of government in Bangladesh.
