People in general all over Bangladesh have welcome the execution of six Islamic militants but they say that the alleged god fathers of the militants should also be identified and punished and they also have asked all concerned to be careful so that the militants do not raise their heads again.
Welcoming the role of the present government Awami League leader Tofail Ahmed said that the death sentence should lead to stopping any kind of fanatacism , communalism and militancy. Hasan Shahriar , an eminent journalist from Bangladesh says to Voice of America that by sending the militants to the gallows only the first step of the action against the Islamic extremist has been completed. He added that the followers of those militants must be rounded up or else they would try to create more disturbances in the country. He stressed on the fact that the god fathers of these criminals have remained untouched till to this day.
Dr Asif Nazrul , a teacher from Dhaka university has also stressed on uprooting the causes of militancy including discrepancies in Madrassah Education and poverty.
