Although the Finance Minister of West Bengal Asim Das Gupta had promised to do something for the workers, nothing has been done so far. He had announced a monthly allowance for 700 taka for the unemployed worker He also assured that government medical team will be posted in the tea gardens.

However, as the pledges have never been met , the workers in the garden do not believe in promises.
