Bayezid Milki is the news editor of a private TV channel , Bangla Vision , in Bangladesh. He has been on a US trip , along with other journalists from Bangladesh , on the invitation of the US State Department.
In this interview with VOA Bangla Service , Milki describes his experience in this US trip. He said this delegation included journalists from South and Central Asia . He adds that some of his visits , including a visit to VOA , has been rewarding.
Milki believes that in comparison to the media in other countries , media in Bangladesh is not at all lagging behind and particularly the electronic media in Bangladesh are in some cases ahead of some media in India too. There has been a growth of fair competitions in Bangladeshi media world.
