Hasan Mahmud Khandakar, the Director General of the Rapid Action Battalion said that very soon an extensive operation against the Islamic extremists would be taken.
In view of the fact that a few smaller Islamist outfits have come up with the threats of carrying on attacks and damaging the economic infra structure of the country, law and order forces in Bangladesh are vigilant on them.
In an exclusive interview to VOA Bangla Service the top boss of the RAB said that a massive operation would be carried on in Bangladesh, including the northern part of the country. He added that they are not undermining however small or insignificant the threat might seem to be.
