Bangladesh Finance Adviser Mirza Azizul Islam has dismissed the possibility of raising the value of taka against US dollar to curb rising inflation.
At a Teletalk program in Dhaka, he said, "Yes, currency appreciation can help to check inflation but at the same time it might leave adverse effects on exports. We have to think about exports as well and it won't be right to take on a dual policy."
