With Durga Puja just a week after , a local puja committee is in a spot after it was dragged to the Delhi High Court for copyright violations for their pandal modelled on Harry Potter's school Hogwart's castle.
An amount of two million rupees in Indian currency ] has been claimed by the petitioners by way of fine for the violations if the committee wants to go ahead with the famed theme.
The case has assumed urgency since the organizers of the FD puja block committee in Salt Lake have been summoned before the Kolkata High Court on Friday after a legal notice was served to it for making the model of J K Rowling's popular images in the Harry potter series without permission.
