A top-level border conference between Bangladesh Rifles (BDR) and India's Border Security Force (BSF) will be held in Dhaka on Thursday.
BDR Director General Major General Shakil Ahmed will lead the 18-member delegation and BSF Director General Ashish Kumar Mitra will lead the 18-member delegation.
The BSF delegation led by Mitra arrived in Dhaka on Wednesday. The two sides will discuss among other things trespassing at the border, smuggling of illegal arms and ammunition, drugs, explosives, demarcation of land boundary, construction of defense infrastructures, roads, barbed-wire fencing and installations within 150 yards of the zero point.
