India is celebrating the 36th anniversary of its victory over Pakistan in the 1971 war on 16th December.
This day is a landmark in the history of the armed forces as it was on this day in 1971 that Indian forces inflicted a crushing defeat on Pakistan resulted in the liberation of Bangladesh from Pakistan.
