Bangladesh television ATN’s Special Correspondent Munni Saha is now in Pakistan covering the election.
A national and international award winning television journalist, Munni Saha said the voter turn out was low but there was no widespread violence as feared.
Ms. Saha said that the people of Pakistan realize the importance of democracy and the results reflect their decision. She said the voters seem to reject the religious parties. Munni Saha feels that President Parvez Musharraf has proved that there can be a free and fair election in Pakistan
