Dr M A Hasan is the Convenor of Bangladesh War Crime Facts Finding Committee which has published a long list of people who allegedly committed war crimes during the Bangladesh War of Liberation.
The list includes political and non political persons who not only collaborated with the Pakistani occupation forces in 1971 but are alleged to have actively participated in war crimes.
In this exclusive interview with VOA Bangla Service Dr Hasan , narrates the methodolgy of his team's research on this matter and requests the government for an international probe into the war crimes in Bangladesh .
He also said that Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the founding father of Bangladesh did not grant amnesty to those war criminals who actively partiiciapated and assisted in arsons, loots , rapes and murders of the Bengalis in Bangladesh . He only pardoned the minor offenders.
Dr Hasan , therefore , argues that it was very reasonable for the Committee to publish such list. He said a longer, more detailed list is yet to be published.
