Leaders and activists of the Gorkha Janmukti Morcha (GJM), which is demanding a separate statehood for Darjeeling Hills, decided to go on a fast for an indefinite period from May 1 in Darjeeling district of West Bengal.
They are also initiating “Economic Blocade” against the state government. General Secretary of Gorkha Janmukti Morcha, Roshan Giri has said that they are protesting state government’s decision not to allow GJM to hold any political program in Siliguri in Darjeeling district.
