Bangladesh observed National Mourning Day on Friday, the 33rd death anniversary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. The national flag was raised at half-mast atop government, semi-government, non-government and private buildings.
President Iajuddin Ahmed and Chief Adviser Dr Fakruddin Ahmed paid homage at Sheikh Mujibur Rahman's mausoleum at Tungipara Friday morning. The three chiefs of the armed forces accompanied him.
