Anwar Iqbal is the Washington correspondent of the Dawn newspaper. In this brief interview Mr Iqbal says that the terrorist attacks on Pakistan has shaken the government and is a challenge to the stabilization of the country.
He says that a survey says that the government of Pakistan only controls about 23% of its territory.
He says that the terrorists are essentially fighting against the US, so in his opinion US government should give a room to Pakistan to negotiate with the terrorists instead of going for military action.
Iqbal
thinks that if Pakistan is not allowed to interact with the terrorists , the things may get out
of hand.
