Fresh tension is brewing in the Darjeeling Hills after talks between the Bengal chief minister and the Gorkha Janamukti Morcha failed.
The government is not permitting any meeting at the Darjeeling plains to minimize tension. Angry Morcha is stepping up its agitation. It has also demanded that tea gardens pay tax to them instead of the government.
