Sister Prema replaces Sister Nirmala as the Superior General of Missionaries of Charity, the organization set up by Mother Teresa.
Despite being elected to the post for the third time, Sister Nirmala cited ill health to step down. Sister Prema`s appointment for 6 years, however, needs confirmation by the Vatican.
