The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) announced that Jaswant Singh will be their candidate for the Darjeeling Lok Sabha seat in West Bengal.
They are not promising a separate Gorkhaland state but Gorkha Janmukti Morcha will support BJP.
Jaswant Singh is the former External Affairs Minister.
