In Bangladesh, prosecution on Wednesday withdrew the case, in which former Jamaat-e-Islami chief Golam Azam, incumbent chief Matiur Rahman Nizami, secretary general Ali Ahsan Mohammed Mojaheed, BNP leader Salahuddin Quader Chowdhury and 32 others were asked to appear before the court on July 20 on charge of war crimes.
The plaintiffs withdrew the case because it might hamper the trial process of the war criminals of 1971.
