Despite the imposition of ban, the Hizb
ut-Tahrir of Bangladesh (HT-B) website still remains active and operational.
The HT-B through its website criticised the government describing it as
oppressive and as an agent of US-India and Britain.
The banned Hizb ut-Tahrir in its website also said that it stands for the
country's defense forces and engaged in work for establishment of Islamic rule
(Khelafat).
Meanwhile, police in a raid on Sunday seized all the books, printed materials,
computers, documents and some sticks from the Purana Paltan central office of
the banned organization. Mojibur Rahman, officer in-charge of Paltan Police
Station told the New Nation "The materials were seized after breaking open
the lock following a court order."
The government on Saturday ordered to freeze the bank accounts of HT-B
Bangladesh. It also ordered to put a "block" on the website of the
organization.
Earlier, on October 22, the government banned all kinds of activities of HT-B
Bangladesh.
