Bangladesh Nationalist Party or BNP, the leading opposition party of Bangladesh alleges that the Prime Minister of Bangladesh, Sheikh Hasina’s trip to Bangladesh has not only been unsuccessful, but it is also not in the interest of the country.
BNP believes that because of this new Indo-Bangladesh treaty, India will now be able to take advantage of Bangladesh. They say that this trip is anti-nationalist for Bangladesh. Indian newspapers including Anandabazar Patrika have also said that according to the opposition party. The three treaties signed by the two countries will not be beneficial for Bangladesh.
BNP will hold an official conference on Saturday to discuss their viewpoint in more details.
