In an exclusive interview with VOA, BRAC Country Director Fazlul Huq speaks about the projects that BRAC is carrying out in Afghanistan.
He says that BRAC has projects to improve the educational system in Afghanistan. They are also working towards women-empowerment, which is one of the main goals of BRAC. Fazlul Huq believes that improving educational systems and the condition of women will eventually lead to economic development of the country as a whole. In this way they have been working towards the elimination of militancy in the area, thus gearing up the process of stabilization.
Fazlul Huq is the Country Director of Bangladesh Rural Advancement Committee (BRAC) in Afghanistan. BRAC is the largest NGO in the world.
