At 3:40 pm on Thursday, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas made a brief stop in Dhaka, the capital city of Bangladesh. At the Zia International Airport, he met with Sheikh Hasina, the Prime Minister of Bangladesh for a brief meeting.
At about 3:20 pm, Sheikh Hasina and Foreign Minister Dipu Moni received Mahmoud Abbas at the airport. In the VVIP lounge, the Bangladeshi Prime Minister and the Palestinian President discussed various issues that concern the interests of both countries.
On an official tour to Japan and South Korea, Mahmoud Abbas’s aircraft made a stopover in Dhaka. The main purpose of the scheduled stop was to refuel the aircraft. At around 4:20 pm, Mahmoud Abbas left Dhaka. Sheikh Hasina was there.
