U.S. President Barack Obama hosted a special summit this week in hopes of reviving health care reform efforts stalled in the U.S. Congress. Leading Republicans and Democratic lawmakers met at the Blair House in Washington.
Dr. Nina Ahmad is the President and CEO of PrymeJenomix, LLC, an emerging ophthalmic biotechnology company based in Philadelphia. She is also the Chairman of Philadelphia Mayor's Commission on Asian American Affairs.
Dr. Ahmad is a political activist and is active in various political campaigns at the local, state and federal levels.
She is a founding member of APA for Progress, a grassroots, internet-empowered, national network of Asian Pacific Americans and friends for Progressive Action (APAP).

She also commented on President Obama's recent meetings with the Governors, Pennsylvania's current economic situation and its effects on Asian Americans in Pennsylvania.
