A section of pro-BNP lawyers Sunday created a chaotic situation as a High Court bench rejected a request for adjournment of the hearing on the writ petition filed by BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia regarding her cantonment residence.
The petition was filed challenging the legality of a government notice asking her to vacate the cantonment house.
When the lawyers started to shout the bench requested the lawyers to calm down and threatened to call the police.
The court asked the senior lawyers including BNP standing committee member Moudud Ahmed, Khandaker Mahbub Uddin Ahmed and SCBA President Khandaker Mahbub Hossain to refrain their juniors from creating chaos in the courtroom.
