Bangladesh Government is reducing the Migration Cost:  Israfil Alam, MP

Israfil Alam is the chairman of the parliamentary standing committee on Labor and Employment. Recently he came to the United States as a member of labor and employment ministry-related committee. In an exclusive interview with Voice of America, he talks about the limitations of employing people within the country and emphasizes on Bangladeshi laborer employed overseas.

He says that human resources which is exported to the Middle Eastern countries, many of them go there through recruiting agencies and the complain that they are not treated well, or even cheated, is very true.

He, however, says that the present government in Bangladesh is trying to reduce the migration cost and is determined to see that these people do not suffer either during the recruitment time or during their work abroad. He said that embassies have been instructed to oversee the welfare of the workers abroad.
