Khaleda Zia, Chairperson of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), the main opposition party, has threatened to unseat the government through a series of street campaigns. She arrived there on Wednesday to attend the party divisional meeting. It is part of an ongoing program to visit divisional head quarters.
Sarwari Rahman, BNP’s standing committee member accompanied Khaleda Zia on her trip from her cantonment house to Barisal. Since the national elections in December of 2009, this will be her first speech in the city. BNP will hold their next meeting on the 19th of May in Dhaka where she will announce her anti-government movement programs.
