U.S. Ambassador James F. Moriarty and Dr. Mozammel Hossain, MP jointly inaugurated two new schools, which can be used as cyclone shelters during disasters, in Bagerhat, Bangladesh.

The new cyclone shelters can accommodate about 3,000 people during cyclone and will provide classroom space to 200 students.

The U.S. government donated nearly 35 million dollars to construct the two shelters and the project was co-managed by LGED and CARE Bangladesh.
