Bangladesh Jatiya Sangsad begins its fifth session on Thursday. The current session will be brief. During the Sangsad's winter session a number of important bills including Speedy Trial Tribunal Bill are expected to be enacted.
On Wednesday Awami League representatives walked out from parliament's business advisory committee meeting because the Session is going to be so brief. The opposition demanded that the session should continue for at least 20 workdays. The decision was taken at the meeting that the session will continue for nine working days till November 26. If necessary, the duration might be extended.
