Awami League , the main opposition party in Bangladesh has joined Parliament's budget session saying that although repressions against opposition members have not stopped , they have joined parliament to voice their opposition on behalf of people. The AL MPs briefly walked out of the parliament in protest of an alleged murder of a Chhatra League leader in Dhaka. Chhatra League has called a half day general strike in protest of the murder, on the 19th of June , incidentally the day when US Secretary of State Colin Powell visits the country. They blame the ruling party for the murder but the home ministry sources say that the incident is under investigation.
