Indonesian President Megawati Sukarnoputri is in Bangladesh for a three-day visit aimed at strengthening relations between the two countries.
Officials say Ms. Megawati will meet with Bangladesh Prime Minister Khaleda Zia for talks expected to focus on bilateral issues, as well as the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the situation in Iraq.
Ms. Megawati's trip comes at the start of a 10-day tour across Asia. She is also scheduled to visit Mongolia, Japan and Vietnam.
