BNP Senior Leader Thinks Opposition ALs Ultimatum is Unconstitutional - 2004-01-11


A senior leader of the ruling BNP party, Law & Parliamentary Affairs Minister Barrister Moudud Ahmed has termed the opposition's ultimatum for the government to step down as unconstitutional. Barrister Ahmed says that the present government has been elected for five years and any demand for its resignation would be unlawful. He was reacting to Awami League's fifteen - point demands which were raised on Saturday in a public meeting . It said that unless the demands were met, the party would go for a movement to unseat the government.
