Bangladesh today observed Mohan Ekushey and the International Mother Language Day. Fifty two years ago, students in Dhaka protested against the denial of Bangla as the national language. President Iajuddin Ahmed,Prime Minister Khaleda Zia, opposition leader Sheikh Hasina and others paid tribute to the martyrs at the Central Shaheed Minar.
