The full court of the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court, comprising all the seven top judges, has been convened to hear an appeal on Monday on the controversial by-election to Dhaka-10 parliamentary constituency. Chief Justice Syed JR Modassir Hossain convened the full bench to session after the three-member special bench of the Appellate Division, constituted to dispose of the appeal, Sunday failed to reach a decision and referred the matter to the chief justice, court sources said. Lawyers present at the third day’s hearing of the case said the special three-member bench postponed the hearing after heated row among rival lawyers over “disputed” ownership of the petition.
