Visiting Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf discussed trade and international relations with Argentine President Nestor Kirchner in Buenos Aires on Wednesday.
General Musharraf said Pakistan is interested in possibly buying an Argentine communications satellite, and both leaders also released a joint statement backing the reform of the UN Security Council.
The Pakistani leader traveled to Argentina from Brazil, where he held talks with business leaders and signed four accords with President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva that included cooperation on battling hunger and drug trafficking.
General Musharraf is the first Pakistani leader to make a state visit to the region. He also is due to visit Mexico before stopping in the United States on his way back to Islamabad.
