The West Bengal Assembly passed a bill mourning the death of thousands of people killed in tidal waves, triggered by undersea earthquake, in the South Eastern coast line and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
Speaker H. A Halim asked the lawmakers to donate one day’s salary to Prime Minister’s Relief Fund for the earthquake victims. The Assembly adjourned for the day.
